Tony Griffin was a founder of Templewood Aviation International Limited in the UK in July 1967 leasing HS 125 jets, BAC 1-11 jets, Boeing 707 and 720B jets, Viscount, Vanguard and Convair CV 600 turboprop aircraft.
His customers and suppliers included American Airlines; British Airways; Singapore Airlines; Saudia; China Airlines; Air China; Garuda Indonesia; Merpati Nusantara Airlines (Indonesia); Mandala Airline (Indonesia); Union of Burma Airlines (now Myanmar Airlines); Malaysia Airlines and many others.In 1972 he founded Templewood’s associate airline leasing operation, Tempair International Airlines, which was established to provide leases of Boeing jet aircraft together with their flight crews and maintenance.
He established Phoenix Aircraft Leasing and Sales based in Singapore in 2005 to fulfil a long held ambition to create a truly South East Asian specialist commercial aircraft leasing company. Phoenix has rapidly established itself in the region and since inception has sold and leased over 36 Aircraft including both jets and regional turboprops and has been profitable since inception.
Tony has been at the leading edge of aircraft leasing innovation which has continued with his commitment to Ablrate as a founder shareholder and Chairman.

After a career as an Engineer in the Royal Air Force, David joined the financial services industry. Having formed and operated a highly successful European arm of a US commodities company he sold the business and moved into corporate finance.
Qualified by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment in Corporate Finance, Financial Regulation and Securities, David has worked alongside a number of companies raising finance and structuring transactions in the UK and worldwide.
David coupled his passion for finance and aviation by becoming involved in the sourcing, structuring and financing of aircraft and with his interest in technology David conceived the initial idea for Ablrate.
David has worked closely with our team and developers to design the infrastructure and functionality of the platform and will be responsible for the day to day implementation of the technological development of Ablrate and the overall strategy of the company along with the Board of Directors.

Philip has over 30 years senior management and operational experience in the UK and the UAE. His experience in the leasing industry stems from senior positions with automotive businesses and more recently in aircraft finance.
Philip oversees the implementation of many of the systems protecting client funds and the transparency of the transactions placed on the platform and will be overseeing the customer relations team.

John Lutterloch started his business career as a Lloyds Insurance Broker. After 7 years he moved into banking and project finance and has held senior positions at the Industrial Bank of Scotland, was Vice President at Security Pacific Leasing (Europe) Inc., Managing Director of Baltic Leasing Ltd and Managing Director at G E Capital Corporation Ltd.
At GE he headed up GE Capital’s Northern European operations with offices in London, Dublin and Stockholm. Most transactions were structured as operating leases and assets included transportation, telecoms, marine, aviation and IT. During this period he also became the managing director of a number of ‘Captive’ leasing companies including Wang Leasing, Yale Financial Services, Kodak Credit and Digital Equipment Finance.
In 1994 he established Industrial Investment Group Ltd as a private investment company. In the early years the company owned a wide range of assets for operating leasing including tugs, workboats, oil & gas workover systems, road sweepers and highway refuse collection vehicles.
With John's vast experience, at a senior level, in the leasing and asset financing industry he is ideally placed to manage the process of deal creation and due diligence as well as assisting in the bank financing elements of transactions brought to the platform. John also writes a monthly column for Leasing World Magazine.

Andy graduated from Cambridge University with an MA (Hons) in Law. He has over 16 years of experience in debt capital markets, all gained working in major global investment banks. He began his career at Citigroup with a focus on raising short term finance for companies via the commercial paper market. Subsequently he worked in the bond syndication teams at RBC Capital Markets and Mizuho International, advising banks, governments and corporates on issuing bonds across a range of currencies for periods of anything from one year to fifty years and in sizes ranging into the billions of pounds.
He enjoys innovation and has been responsible for several innovative bond transactions, including creating a retail bond for a major UK bank and designing structures to effectively manage interest rate risk for borrowers. One of his roles in banking was to work to create liquid secondary markets for securities and he looks forward to bringing that experience to the peer-to-peer market.
Andy understands that investment is about creating a fair transaction for both borrowers and investors.
